The Mufti of Uganda presents the most important investment opportunities of the Ugandan Islamic Supreme Council to the International Businessmen Union

The International Union of Arab and African Businessmen Abroad and its Executive Office, headed by Dr. Alaa Al-Essawy, received the Mufti of Uganda at the Union’s headquarters in Cairo

This meeting comes within the framework of activating popular diplomacy between Egypt and Uganda and developing economic and investment cooperation and deepening cooperation between Egyptian and Ugandan civil society organizations

Dr. Alaa Al-Essawy confirmed that the meeting aims to support ways of joint investment cooperation between Arab and African businessmen and the Ugandan Islamic Supreme Council
Dr. Saber Hassan, Education Advisor at the International Union of Arab and African Businessmen Abroad, confirmed that the International Union of Arab and African Businessmen Abroad can provide relief, social and service services to the Islamic Supreme Council and how the Council can be a beacon
He added that the International Union of Businessmen can provide the material and scientific components so that it can manage activities Donations to the Council, providing medical convoys and conducting various medical examinations for the Ugandan people.

For his part, His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Shaaban Ramadan Mobaji, the Mufti of Uganda, confirmed that the Supreme Islamic Council was established in 1972, 52 years ago, and the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of the Supreme Islamic Council of Uganda will be held next December, noting that he has been in charge for 24 years and has developed the Council in terms of media and services. There are five private radio stations for the Council to spread the call and awareness, and a television station for which $4,000 is paid, and coverage and broadcasting to all of Uganda on television requires $20,000. There is also a hospital in the Council that needs development and modern medical equipment. There are 40 medical centers built in Uganda, but they need medical equipment and doctors.

He pointed out that in Uganda there are two Islamic universities, one of which is affiliated with the Council, and there are 130 primary education schools affiliated with the Supreme Islamic Council, and the schools need to provide books and copies of the Qur’an and provide parts for primary schools. There are also 15,400 mosques in Uganda, some of which need furniture and loudspeakers. We need to qualify and train imams and provide training courses. He added that there are more than 600 acres belonging to the Ugandan Islamic Supreme Council that need investment cooperation with Egyptian businessmen. The meeting witnessed the spirit of love and great brotherhood between the Egyptian and Ugandan peoples, which contributes to increasing the bonds of cooperation between Egypt and Uganda in various fields. Dr. Alaa Al-Essawy, Dr. Saber Hassan, and Osama Hassan participated in the meeting.
