Tamweely Financial Services announced that it has obtained ISO 45001 for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems and ISO 14001 for Environmental Management Systems, marking a new milestone that underscores its commitment to applying international best practices and strengthening governance and sustainability frameworks across its operations. This achievement builds on the company’s institutional development journey, following its previous certifications of ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management Systems and ISO 27001 for Information Security Management Systems, reflecting its adoption of an integrated management model centered on quality, risk management, data protection, and sustainability.
Mr. Ahmed Khorched, Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director, and Vice Chairman, stated that obtaining ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 reflects Tamweely’s commitment to providing a safe and healthy work environment and adopting environmentally responsible operational practices. This is achieved through the implementation of structured risk management systems, the promotion of a preventive culture, and the efficient use of resources—supporting sustainable performance and reinforcing the trust of clients and partners.
Dr. Dalal Tekla, Head of Business Excellence, and Mr. Islam Ali, Senior Quality Manager, explained that achieving both certifications was the result of a comprehensive action plan that included gap analysis, policy and procedure development, and the alignment of internal processes with international standards. This was complemented by intensive training programs and rigorous internal audits to ensure full readiness. They emphasized that strong leadership support and cross-functional teamwork were critical to the success of the certification journey and to embedding safety and sustainability concepts within the company’s organizational culture.
In this context, Mr. Hassan Abdelatif, Head of Governance and Sustainability at Tamweely, stated that obtaining ISO 14001 represents a significant milestone within the company’s strategy to enhance institutional sustainability. He noted that the sector worked on integrating environmental standards into governance and risk management policies, and on establishing clear performance indicators to reduce environmental footprint and optimize energy and resource consumption—ensuring continuous compliance and the creation of long-term sustainable value.
Mr. Yasser El Wahsh, Health and Safety Senior Manager, also affirmed that the development of Tamweely’s occupational health and safety system was based on a proactive approach that relies on thorough risk assessment across all branches and departments, along with the implementation of clear reporting and rapid response mechanisms. This reinforces a sustainable preventive culture aligned with international best practices.
Tamweely’s acquisition of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, in addition to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001, reflects a comprehensive institutional approach that confirms the company’s commitment to adopting international standards as a practical framework to enhance management quality, embed a culture of continuous improvement, and promote sustainability and corporate responsibility across all its activities.
