Entrepreneur Ahmed Adel, the founder of CardoO, joins the Forbes 30Under30 list for 2023

Egyptian entrepreneur Ahmed Adel, the founder of CardoO, a company specializing in electronics and smart devices, has joined the annual Forbes Middle East 30Under30 list in its sixth edition. The list highlights young innovators in the region under the age of thirty who are making an impact in various sectors. Adel joined the Science and Technology category.
Adel founded CardoO in October 2018 with the goal of changing the lives of millions worldwide through technology and promoting a culture of innovation, development, and smart living. Adel aims for CardoO to become the leading Arab brand, providing users with distinctive and effective smart devices that enhance their daily lives by facilitating access to the latest consumer electronics at affordable prices and Internet of Things for consumers in the Middle East and North Africa.
The company has introduced several products, including the CardoO Smart Scale, a smart assistant designed for personalized diet plans that can be connected to smartphones via Bluetooth. CardoO also offers the CardoO Note tablet, CardoO AirPods, CardoO VR glasses, and the CardoO Joystick for gaming.
CardoO has experienced significant growth in the Egyptian market, with over a hundred thousand customers using its products. The company has collaborated with the top 20 retail organizations in Egypt, making its products accessible in over a thousand stores nationwide.
In October 2022, the company successfully attracted its first investment round with $660,000, led by the Alexandria Angel Network with participation from Sofico Investments and angel investors from Saudi Arabia.
This investment enabled the company to enhance its products and launch its first Internet of Things application. Additionally, it empowered local manufacturers to produce consumer electronics under the “CardoO” brand, providing high-quality technologies to local markets to establish Egypt as a hub for consumer electronics for the Internet of Things in developing countries.
CardoO introduced its first smartwatch, CardoO Watch, this year.
CardoO is currently in talks with investors for a new funding round expected to close in 2024. The company also plans to expand into Saudi Arabia by the second quarter of 2024. As part of its expansion efforts, CardoO actively participates in key events in the region, including GITEX Dubai, GITEX Africa, and the Leap Tech Conference in Saudi Arabia.
